# Can't re-run TidalCycles without restarting on Big Sur

I am running TidalCycles on my MacBook Pro, on Big Sur. I can run the SuperCollider start file no problem, and in Atom, have got no error messags. I've also run it successfully in vscode. However, I can only use it after restarting my computer. After a while, it is as if SuperCollider times out, and when I close it and re open it I can still run the startup with no errors, but no sound is produced. No error messages on either end.

Hi @Matthew_Li, this is a compatibility problem - supercollider isn't yet fully compatible with big sur.

According to [this thread](https://github.com/supercollider/supercollider/issues/5168), the latest development build does work:
