# Help loading samples from github

Hello everyone,

I'm struggling to get samples to load from github. I must be missing something simple

Here are two versions I've tried:

```haskell
samples=('github:Upow1234/Upow_Strudel_Samples/')

setcpm(60)

$: s("vd").cut(0)

```

```haskell
samples=('https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Upow1234/Upow_Strudel_Samples/main/strudel.json?version=2')

setcpm(60)

$: s("vd").cut(0)

```

With either one, the console prints :

`[getSchedule] error: sound vd not found! Is it loaded? (1)`

Thanks for any help!! My goal is to make algorithmic pieces that evolve live and send them to friends with hydra visuals.

In javascript, function calls don't have an equals sign between the function name and the parens/arguments, so:

```javascript
samples('github:Upow1234/Upow_Strudel_Samples/')

setcpm(60)

$: s("vd").cut(0)

```

Thank you, that was definitly just an error on my part this morning while my son was on my lap.

This should throw that error:

`samples('https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Upow1234/Upow_Strudel_Samples/main/strudel.json?version=7');`

`setcpm(24)`

`$: s("chi:1").cut(0)`

I just cant tell if it's a problem with the json file, the repo, or something else.

this loads fine for me, can you open up the console in the browser's dev tools and see if there's more information? Also look in the network tab in the dev tools, reload the page after opening them and you should see the attempted request and what it returned or more details about it failing to return

To rule out browser cache issues, try opening it in an incognito window.
