[SOLVED] [here](https://club.tidalcycles.org/t/hows-the-tidal-install-process/4609/5) I found the solution 🙂  
just removing folders

```haskell
/Users/<yourUser>/.ghc/
/Users/<yourUser>/.cabal/

```

and re-run

```haskell
cabal update
cabal v1-install tidal

```

fix the problem 🙂
