# Problem installing on Window 10

Before posting this error, I tried the solutions mentioned in other posts but they didn't work for me.

Trying to run tidal on: Windows 10 v. 21h2

Choose **ghc** base path

> no custom path configured  
> ghcup not found  
> \*\*\* using default GHC system path definition\*\*

Ghci command: ghci Ghc-pkg command: ghc-pkg

Start atom-tidalcycles plugin

Choose **BootTidal.hs** path

> no custom path configured  
> not found in current directory  
> \*\*\* found in the tidal installation folder\*\*

- load BootTidal.hs from C:\cabal\x86\_64-windows-ghc-9.2.4\tidal-1.9.2\BootTidal.hs

t\> Loaded package environment from C:\Users\gable\AppData\Roaming\ghc\x86\_64-mingw32-9.2.4\environments\default

Cannot browse tidal to obtain informations for autocomplete: Error: Command failed: echo ":browse Sound.Tidal.Context" | "ghci" ghc-9.2.4.exe: panic! (the 'impossible' happened) (GHC version 9.2.4: loadArchive "C:\ghcup\ghc\9.2.4\mingw\lib\gcc\x86\_64-w64-mingw32\10.2.0\libstdc++.dll.a": failed Please report this as a GHC bug: [report a bug · Wiki · Glasgow Haskell Compiler / GHC · GitLab](https://www.haskell.org/ghc/reportabug) ghc-9.2.4.exe: Could not load `libstdc++-6.dll'. I'm having a similar problem :c specifically the part about "libstdc++.dll.a" failing to load, did you find a solution?

Hi,

Are you using GHC 9.4.2 or later? It is needed as of Tidal 1.9: [TidalCycles version 1.9.0](https://club.tidalcycles.org/t/tidalcycles-version-1-9-0/4292)

Hi @Zeraco_Saitam I'm sorry that you had the same problem. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a solution, so I had to stop using tidal for good.

Did you find a solution?

Nope, I'm about to make a complete Windows reset and i'll try again because I can't live without tidal hahah

install and activate GHC 9.4.2 or 9.4.2 version and install Tidal. This fixed the problem for me.
