Also I just noticed @yaxu also posted a link to ['Patterns I Have Known and Loved'](https://club.tidalcycles.org/t/reference-text-patterns-i-have-known-and-loved/478) - a book he's writing on Tidal, which has good diagrams and goes into some detail. Looks like page 11 might be helpful to you 🙂
