I spent a while trying to work out when Tidal was born, but eventually realised it didn't have a birthday, it slowly emerged and came into focus over an extended, continuous series of experiments, events and collaborations..

However I did my first talk on live coding something like an uzulang written in Haskell on 17th September 2009, so maybe we could pretend that uzu culture turns 17 on 17th Sept 2026?

Personally I don't really have capacity for organising a big stream (what with the ICLC deadline and all).. But we are going to do a live streamed event in London on 16th September, if anyone else fancies organising a streamed party around the 17th please do !
